Hi! I'm Caleb

Welcome to Flour x Butter Baking Co.! My name is Caleb Hayes, I am 14 years old and I've always loved baking. I enjoy taking everyday pastries and adding my own twist by infusing unconventional ingredients to make one of a kind sweets.

Why Flour x Butter?

I was excited to start my own company after shadowing under my favorite chef, Chef Blue. I have always enjoyed baking and how it brings together science and math but Ms. Blue took my love of baking to another level. Now, I enjoy taking everyday desserts and pastries and infusing unconventional ingredients to add a new twist to the pastries you know and love.​

After working with Ms. Blue I raised funds  to purchase a title for Flour x Butter Baking Co. and officially became an LLC! Today, I travel to local farmers markets throughout Baltimore selling my pastries, sourcing my ingredients from local farms and greenspaces.

​

My dream is to attend culinary school abroad in Paris, to become a professional pastry chef. Most of all, I want to make an impact by bringing investment to underserved communities through education, service, and volunteerism.
